This EP and title track features a close friend who has been the trumpeter for Stevie Wonder for the last 20 years, Mr. Dwight Adams. The timing was right when Dwight came to join me for a session that had been long awaited and seemingly overdue to take place. As we approached the session we conversed through various topics, reacquainting with one another and filling the gap of time. Afterwards, we decided to work on a multitude of music together formulating some very interesting tracks and ideas. Introducing him to some pre-composed tracks that awaited the blazing of his trumpet to be complete was barely a challenge and was actually, a delightful process. I am truly honored to have such a talent in the mist of this project because bringing together two positive human forces allows one to feel the presence and power of God which lead me to the album’s title, “God Status”.
